CT Technologist
Kootenai Health is seeking a PRN (As Needed) CT Tech for the hospital in beautiful Coeur d'Alene, Idaho!

Position Summary:
CT (computed tomography) technologists are radiologic technicians who specialize in taking cross-sectional x-ray images of the tissues, bones, organs and blood vessels in an area of a patient's body. At Kootenai Health, Siemens equipment is used!
Responsibilities:
- Obtains patient history, explains standard procedures, and addresses patient concerns
- Produces computerized tomography scanner radiographs of specific areas as required by the departmental procedures
- Performs a variety of tasks
- Works under general supervision
- A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required
- Typically reports to a supervisor or manager
- Performs other related duties as assigned
- Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field
- Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
- Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function
- Competent to meet age specific needs of the unit assigned
Requirements and Minimum Qualifications
- Completion of an AMA approved School of Radiology Technology required, Nuclear Medicine or Radiation Therapy
- ARRT certification in Radiography and/or Radiation Therapy, And/or Certification in Nuclear Medicine through the NMTCB required
- CT certification within one year of employment required
- BLS Required. Current AHA Healthcare provider, American Red Cross, AHA Health Saver or KMC BLS within 60 days of hire
Working Conditions:
- Must be able to maintain a standing and/or sitting position
- Typical equipment used in a clinical job
- Must be able to stoop, crouch or bend
- Must be able to push, pull, or transport heavy equipment
