Job Summary
Under the supervision of the Crisis Services Manager, the Crisis Intervention Coordinator provides supportive services and clinical supports for individuals who are experiencing a behavioral health crisis. Working in partnership with senior clinical staff, Crisis Intervention Coordinator staff assist with the implementation of short-term stabilization planning strategies that support improved health outcomes. We are located on the Northern Oregon Coast in the beautiful Pacific Northwest.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provides input on clinical assessments and the development of short-term crisis stabilization plans.
- Provides services onsite, within the community, and within client’s homes; participates in mobile outreach to individuals in the community.
- Observes and influences client’s behavior, communication, and interaction.
- Provides clients or family members with information about behavioral health issues and about available services and programs, making appropriate referrals when necessary.
- In consultation with senior clinician team members, provides post-crisis intervention, brief follow up care and outreach with individuals experiencing behavioral health crisis.
- Acts as a client advocate to coordinate required services or to resolve emergency problems in crisis situations.
- Crisis settings may include (but not limited to)homes, schools, community agency locations, hospitals or corrections sites.
- Maintains appropriate documentation, obtains pertinent records from other treatment providers; completes documentation in electronic health record system (CareLogic) in a professional and timely manner.
- Provides assistance and support to connect individuals to community supports and resources.
- Identifies and encourages clients to participate in social, educational, and recreational activities as indicated to assist with stabilization and support for preventing further crisis.
- Participates in regular individual and team meetings with Clinical Supervisor; provide written and verbal reports (per agency guidelines) to supervisor regarding cases.
- Atten all relevant agency meetings and assigned trainings.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in behavioral health discipline
- Experience within a community behavioral health or health agency setting
- Pursue and maintain all certifications as required by Tillamook Family Counseling Center.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Bilingual – Spanish
- Experience with Electronic Medical Records system
Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week. Days and hours of work are variable, depending on mobile response requirements and expectations.
Benefits:
This is a full-time position that offers a generous salary and benefits package, including a 403b retirement fund vested after 6 months. Medical, Dental & vision coverage are included as well as paid vacation, holiday and sick time.
Salary:
$25-$28 per hour
Signing Bonus: $5,000
