Role Summary

Alaska Airlines is seeking a Crew Pay Analyst for the Crew Pay Team either supporting Alaska Air Crew or as a shared service supporting the Horizon Crew Pay. This team is responsible for processing pay for our Pilots and Flight Attendants in compliance with the collective bargaining agreement (CBA) and the departments standard operating procedures.

Key Duties

  • The Professional 1 level role is responsible for accurate processing of pay for Pilots or Flight Attendants in compliance with the collective bargaining agreement (CBA) and the department’s standard operating procedures at Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air. As an individual contributor, this role focuses on accurate processing of pay for our crew members and work with crew members on issues related to pay.
  • The Professional 2 level role is responsible for developing solutions to solve for accurate processing of pay for Pilots or Flight Attendants in compliance with the collective bargaining agreement (CBA) and the department’s standard operating procedures at Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air. As an individual contributor, this role makes recommendations to improve accurate processing of pay.

Job-Specific Experience, Education & Skills

Professional 1 Level

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree with a focus in accounting, finance, labor or related disciplines, or 2 years of proven crew pay, accounting, payroll, auditing, data analysis, scheduling or related experience in a mid-sized or larger company in lieu of this degree.
  • Excellent ability to focus on details with demonstrated accuracy and analytical skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, organizational skills, interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to focus under pressure to meet strict production deadlines.
  • Documented experience working with labor groups and contracts.
  • Ability to dissect current processes, identify inefficiencies and promote change.
  • Intermediate level proficiency in MS Excel, (including formulas & graphs), MS Outlook and MS SharePoint.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Minimum age of 18.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Professional 2 Level

Required

  • 2 years of crew pay, accounting, payroll, auditing, data analysis, scheduling or related experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree with a focus in accounting, finance, labor or related disciplines, or an additional two years of relevant training/experience in lieu of this degree.
  • Excellent ability to focus on details with demonstrated accuracy and analytical skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, organizational skills, interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to focus under pressure to meet strict production deadlines.
  • Exercise considerable judgment and initiative, often with limited supervision.
  • Effectively initiate projects with limited direction.
  • Documented experience working with labor groups and contracts.
  • Ability to dissect current processes, identify inefficiencies and promote change.
  • Intermediate level proficiency in MS Excel, (including formulas & graphs), MS Outlook and MS SharePoint.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum age of 18.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Salary Range

$51,800-$92,400 / year

Pay Details

Professional 1 Level (Non-Exempt): $51,800 - $72,600

Professional 2 Level (Exempt): $61,600 - $92,400

Pay will be based on multiple factors,includingand not limited to relevant experience/level, level of the role and skillset while balancing internal equity relative to other Alaska/Horizon employees.
