Job Summary
The Credit Bureau Dispute Specialist investigate and responds to credit bureau disputes from received either through the e-Oscar web portal or in written form from the consumers. May be tasked to assist with other Credit Bureau Reporting duties and special projects as well as other assigned duties.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Thoroughly Investigate and respond to incoming written and indirect (e-OSCAR) disputes according to department procedures and deadlines
  • Route and resolve credit bureau disputes per department procedures.
  • Validate or update Bank reporting of consumer debt, in applicable systems
  • Provide written documentation to consumers, as evidence of how their accounts are reported, upon request per department procedures.
  • Retain evidence of the credit bureau dispute investigation, as required by FCRA.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Education/Experience
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required, Associates degree or higher preferred
  • At least two years’ experience of handling direct and indirect credit bureau disputes, 3+ years preferred
  • Well-versed in e-Oscar
  • CDIA Certification preferred, not required
  • Auto Finance experience preferred, not required
  • Shaw experience preferred, not required
