Job Description:
The Creative Director of D3 is responsible for leading and managing the creative capability for the in-house creative agency supporting our Quaker business (Cap’n Crunch, LIFE, Quaker Chewy, Cheetos Mac n Cheese, etc.). It is a unique role within the company that will help lead brand activations, creative strategy and execution, television and digital content, and champion creative inspiration throughout the organization. This role involves managing direct reports, managing multiple projects simultaneously including ownership of scopes, allocation of resources, and helping to manage a team of creative and production partners.
Responsibilities
- Management and creation of all Quaker Foods brand creative that is scoped as a yearly retainer which includes creative development, project management, brand strategy, and production (digital, social, and content)
- Strategic thinker capable of leading the development of a brand’s creative strategy, annual plans, and specific projects with multiple stakeholders including internal and external agency partners and clients
- Build strong relationships with the client and agency partners that demonstrate an understanding of their brands and business challenges
- Proactive ownership of projects and processes; Being sufficiently informed and personally involved, ensuring sound planning, great service and an excellent client/agency relationship, going above and beyond client expectations.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with other agency functions (i.e., Social, Production, Account, Partnerships, etc) with the objective of getting the best out of these services
- Manage a team of creative service team members that service brand teams internally as the creative capability – including performance reviews and managing career paths and opportunities within the company (copywriters, art directors, contractors, etc)
- Manage production timelines, budgets, and scopes as outlined per brand to ensure productivity and activation excellence
- Responsible for expanding capability and team to manage additional Quaker Foods creative needs while producing best in class creative deliverables

Qualifications
- Client leader with at least 10 – 15 years of experience in Creative development and creative team management (agency environment a plus)
- Experience in CPG is a plus
- Must be Chicago-area based
- Bachelor’s degree required. MBA or Master’s a plus.
- Project management skills including navigation of timelines, budgets and problem solving
- Exceptional management, communication and diplomacy skills
- Excellent organizational skill and multitasking ability
- Proficiency in Creative Cloud (Photoshop, After Effects, Illustrator, etc) & Microsoft Office Knowledge of Microsoft Office products
- Strong creative portfolio, available online
- Articulate and confident to lead senior-level client meetings and presentations
- Ability to lead and manage careers of people
- Managerial skills – experience with managing multiple people with different disciplines
- Leadership capabilities, dealing with ambiguity across multiple clients for multiple brands, working in a matrix organization, etc.
- Must be open to occasional travel (approx. 10-15% of time)

Compensation and Benefits:
Location, confirmed job-related skills and experience will be considered in setting actual starting salary- Expected salary range is $165,000 - $190,000
- Bonus based on performance and eligibility; target payout is 25% of annual salary paid out annually.
- Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement
