Counterintelligence Investigation Desk Officer Job at Eiden Systems Corporation
Eiden Systems Corporation is seeking a Counterintelligence Investigation Desk Officer to support work in Fort Belvoir, VA. The Counterintelligence Investigation Desk Officer will integrate, manage, assess, and provide focused analysis in support of Counterintelligence Investigations and Operations. Will review and analyze reporting and case files related to CI investigations and produce analytical and CI reviews that identify investigative gaps and operational potential to include CI flags, CI indicators, and operational vulnerabilities which pose a CI threat to HUMINT activities. Conduct coordination among analytical elements of the DoD, INSCOM, Army Service Component Commands, other government agencies, and DA for CI investigations. Will conduct weekly, monthly, and quarterly operational briefings with Government Team, Branch, and Division Chiefs. Review active and terminated investigations for vulnerabilities, leads, and trends as well as prepare them for retirement. Develop counterintelligence products as required.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
· Active TS/SCI security clearance and ability to obtain a CI Poly
· Minimum of 10 years of experience as a credentialed Counterintelligence Special Agent
· Understanding of counterintelligence investigations, CI flags, and FIE TTPs
· Interpret analysis to include, but not limited to, its meaning, importance, and implications
· Ability to defend analytic judgements with sound, logical conclusions, and adapt analytic judgements when presented with new information, evolving conditions, or unexpected developments
· Able to produce timely, logical, and concise analytic reports, documents, assessments, studies, and briefing materials in formats including Microsoft Office tools, electronic/soft copy matrices and/or web-enabled formats
· Able to develop structured research including, but not limited to, obtaining, evaluating, organizing, and maintaining information within security and data protocols
· Knowledge using complex analytic methodologies, such as structured analytic techniques or alternative approaches, to examine biases, assumptions, and theories to eliminate uncertainty, strengthen analytic arguments, and mitigate surprises
· Understand intelligence collection capabilities and limitations, to include but not limited to, technical sensors/platforms and human intelligence sources
· Evaluate collected intelligence reporting, engaging with collection managers, and developing collection requirements
· Ability to communicate understanding from information that may be incomplete, indirect, highly complex, seemingly unrelated, and/or technically advanced
· Ability to structure analysis based on trends in reporting a range of analytic perspectives from other analysts, organizations, and intelligence disciplines
· Collaborate and work with other IC members on information sharing, driving collection, and addressing analytic disputes and conflict resolution
· Lead teams in researching multifaceted or critical problems
· Provide guidance in selecting, designing, and applying analytic methodologies
Must be a graduate of any of the following Military Department Counterintelligence Agent Certifying Courses:
§ Army- Counterintelligence Special Agent Course (CISAC)
§ Army- 351L Course (or its predecessor)
§ Army – 35E Course (or its predecessor)
§ Air Force- Basic Special Investigators Course (BISC), U.S. Air Force Special Investigations Academy, or predecessor
§ Navy- Special Agent Basic Training Program (SABTB), Naval Criminal Investigative Service Training Academy, or predecessor
Minimum physical demands for on task positions: Employee needs to be able to sit at a workstation for extended periods; use hand(s) to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Most positions require ability to work on desktop or laptop computer for extended periods of time reading, reviewing/analyzing information, and providing recommendations, summaries and/or reports in written format. Must be able to effectively communicate with others verbally and in writing. Employee may be required to occasionally lift and/or move moderate amounts of weight, typically less than 20 pounds. Regular and predictable attendance is essential.
