Seeking Experienced Kitchen personnel to help lead an experienced kitchen team.

The assistant kitchen manager focuses on these primary areas and reports directly to the Kitchen Manager.

SAFETY

  • MUST have food manager's license
  • Ensures that kitchen compliance checklists are audited and filled out by employees and staff.
  • Works with the kitchen manager to ensure all safety and compliance protocols are followed in accordance with local Health Department and best business practices

PEOPLE

  • Manages the kitchen schedule and submits it to the kitchen manager for review and formal approval
  • Assists and manages personnel training

QUALITY

  • Executes menu items as defined by build sheets, recipes, and Manager oversite.
  • Ensures that Menu, POS system, and physically prepared food all match in price, appearance, and description.
  • Recommends and helps implement updates to the manager regarding formal training tools and compliance checklists that assist in food and kitchen quality.

RESPONSIVENESS

  • Reports out and fills inventory shortages.
  • Assists kitchen manager in all immediate needs for day to day operations and helps remedy immediate issues related to business needs.

COST

  • Ensures staff members clock in and out on time.
  • Manages the waste log, inventory audits, par levels, and food factoring
  • Assists the manager in monitoring menu costing
  • Manages all kitchen consumable orders with supervision and discretion from the Kitchen Manager

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
