Job Summary:

This position is full time and is based in our Redmond Office with a small percentage of hybrid/remote work. We are hiring a Controller who is responsible for all accounting and financial related activities for the practice. The Controller supervises and oversees all work of the practice’s bookkeeper. This role will work closely with the Administrator and Practice’s CPA to ensure the accurate and timely distribution of financial and management reports to support month-end close, Board Meeting reports, Employed Provider bonus calculations and Owner distribution calculations. The applicant should be detail-oriented, provide a high degree of accuracy and work well with team members.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Manage and monitor all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain financial controls and guidelines. Maintain internal control safeguards for the receipt of revenue, costs and both department and organizational budgets and actual expenditures.
  • Prepare month end journal entries and reconcile general ledger accounts and perform all accounting functions
  • Oversee all bookkeeper functions and activity.
  • In collaboration with the Practice Administrator, produce all financial reports and related deliverables: including, but not limited to monthly financials, budget development and tracking, Board financial reports, Employed Physician bonus calculations and Owner distribution calculations.
  • Advanced knowledge of QuickBooks
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills

  • An understanding of delivering high level service to internal customers

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

Experience:

  • 5 years with 2 in medical space or public accounting preferred
  • Knowledge of basic medical terminology

Salary: Position salary range $ 78,000 – 88,000 depending on experience and qualifications.

Equipment/systems operated: Standard office equipment including computers, fax machines, copiers, printers, telephones, Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), Practice Management Software, QuickBooks, etc.

Work Environment: Position is in a well-lighted, on-site, medical office environment. Potential for occasional evening and weekend work.

Physical Requirements: Must possess the physical and mental abilities to perform the tasks normally associated with in this type of role such as sitting for 80 percent of the day; manual dexterity to operate office machines including computer and calculator; stooping, bending to handle files and supplies; and mobility to complete errands or deliveries, lifting up to 20 lbs.

Pay: $78,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
