Overview:
The primary function of the Contracts and Credentailing Specialist is to assist with contract administration and credentialing. This includes quality assurance, developing and maintaining relationships within the provider community contract and credentialing tracking, documentation and notifications related to payors, providers, and vendors.

Responsibilities:
  • Assists Contracts Manager in performing a public relations function for the company in the area of contract administration
  • Assists to implement and monitor quality assurance standards for managed care, long-term care and vendor contracts, and ensure that all contracts are in compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Assists to maintain contracts database.
  • Maintains one-time SNF Agreements, Traveling & Visiting Agreements.
  • Updates Health Plan and Medical Group Provider Directories
  • Requests annual rate increases with Health Plans and Medical Groups.
  • Maintains credentialing & re-credentialing of Health Plans and Medical Groups.
  • Assists with credentialing applications as requested by payers and contractors.
  • Assists with ensuring up to date credentials of providers.
  • Maintains credentialing database.
  • Reviews, monitors and processes all correspondence to and from credentialing customers and coordinates the submission of periodic reports.
  • Documents, tracks and notifies internal departments of all pertinent contract additions and terminations.
  • Tracks due dates for contracted vendor’s licenses & insurance and obtains current documents as needed.
  • Assists ContractsManager with preparing Monthly Manager Reports.
  • Assists Contracts Managerwith projects involving contracts, business associate agreements, NDAs and payor inquiries and requests.
  • Assists Contracts Manager Manager as needed on projects for the Agency.

Salary: $20.00 - $29.00/Hourly

Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree or a minimum of three (3) years related experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills required.
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
  • Prefer experience with commercial insurance, Medicare, and Medi-Cal.
  • Must demonstrate exceptional customer service and communication skills.
  • Must demonstrates proficiency in use of Word, Excel, hospice database and other Office Programs.
  • Current driver’s license and proof of insurance preferred.
  • Requires maturity and experience to interface with all levels of management and personnel.
