Vanguard is seeking a Continuous Improvement Industrial Engineer who will support the Continuous Improvement initiatives through technical expertise, problem solving techniques, and quality systems analysis. Determine ways to eliminate waste in production processes. Devise efficient ways to use workers, machines, materials, information and energy to make a product. Facilitate Kaizen Events to drive improvement utilizing the strengths of fellow associates and educating team members on the value of Lean.
Requirements:
An ideal candidate:
- BS degree in Engineering and/or equivalent experience with 3-5+ years of manufacturing experience
- Knowledge of manufacturing methods, systems, and production processes required.
- Excellent inter-personal and communication skills (written and verbal) required.
- Must be process/results oriented and have organizational and attention-to-detail abilities.
- Working knowledge of personal computers including (eg word processing, spreadsheet, AutoCAD, analysis of manufacturing data).
- Background/familiarity of Lean tools (DMAIC, Visual Management, 6S, etc).
