Areas of Concentration and Focus

Reporting to a regional Senior Manager or Director, this role will focus on helping to develop and lead our new business of providing advisory services and sustainability solutions to our Tech sector, Mining and Natural Resources, Manufacturing, and Consumer Goods industry clients who are working to accelerate their climate change goal implementation. A solid background in management consulting, strategic advisory and sustainability are the key factors to success in this role. This role will help support to our Leadership in the rapidly growing our regional and global advisory practice supporting global clients across a variety of sectors while focused on client delivery.

Primary Responsibilities

ENGIE Impact is seeking a candidate with superior client-facing business and management consulting skills, collaborative team-building skills, work experience in operational solutions in the tech, manufacturing, consumer packaged goods, and mining sectors and an excitement about sustainability solutions.

We seek an individual who can lead strategic thinking, market positions, client development, and supporting senior leadership in the development of ENGIE Impact’s regional industry go-to-market plan and lead the execution of that plan.

As a Sustainability Solutions Consultant, you will work alongside ENGIE Impact’s Sustainability Solutions team of global and regional expert consultants. To broaden your skills, your work may cover a variety of topics and solutions from energy procurement to energy efficiency, from zero-carbon mobility and transportation solutions to exciting innovation pilot programs in various industries.

Some of your responsibilities may include:

Supporting a Cutting-Edge Strategy

• Assist Leadership in developing a sector agnostic go-to-market strategies suitable to our brand, offerings, closely collaborating with our internal and external network

• Create innovative analytics, tools, decks/presentations, and synergistic implementation/sustainability as-a-service solutions, to deliver client impact and accelerate the transition to a low carbon, sustainable economy

Client Impact

• Cultivate long-term, trusted, major client relationships with key clients in the region in conjunction with regional and global Senior Managers, Directors and Managing Directors, focused on transformational engagements

• Understand future sustainability client needs, develop proactive recommendations on value creation opportunities

Team Growth and Leadership

• Assist our Americas team to recruit and hire junior talent to enable ENGIE Impact strategy consulting and full solutions services

• Help teams to achieve successful project delivery, with high technical, qualitative and financial performance, delivering impeccable client outcomes

• Create a passionate, collaborative, values-driven, professional, happy, culture of excellence and purpose

Market Development

• Work with the regional and global network of Managers and Directors to create impactful thought leadership on pressing sustainability trends and innovations in your industry segment

• Support alliances with centers of excellence and industry aggregations of target corporate and public sector clients focused on sustainability, zero-carbon and societal and environmental positive impact to raise our profile and drive deal flow e.g., Mining3, ICMM, Copper Mark, IRMA, WRI, WBCSD, SASB, CDP, WEF, BSR

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment as well as autonomously

• Entrepreneurial mindset, passionate about decarbonization, comfortability in ambiguous environments

• Excitement and base knowledge around sustainability and decarbonization; value alignment with the ENGIE mission

• 3+ years in a combination of top tier management or strategy consultancies, and/or specialist sustainability/energy transformation boutique consultancies, and/or comparable industry, government and NGO backgrounds with relevant leadership, technical and consulting expertise

• Excellent educational background preferably with either an MBA or relevant graduate degree from a competitive business school or university or professional certification preferred

• Past performance building a sustainability or cleantech solutions, consulting, service or product business in a collaborative team environment preferred

• Exposure to Tech sector, Mining and Natural Resources, Manufacturing, and Consumer Goods industry clients Collaborative management and business building style preferred

• Demonstrated concrete results in operationalizing business transformation strategies within the mining industry while leveraging innovation, technology, commercialization and project management skillsets

• Capacity to engage with stakeholders and ability to manage deadlines
