Construction Trades / Workforce Development Specialist Job at ERCO
Primary Responsibilities:
- Train and develop the Field Crews in construction technical skills to further enhance quality and productivity.
- Work collaboratively with CEO, Operations and Human Resources to develop an integrated learning & development strategy, including Company training manuals and classes.
- Develop and conduct new hire orientation for field technicians that consist of culture, job site & safety training.
- Establish clear goals and objectives related to Field Training and enhanced performance.
- Evaluate individual field technician knowledge/capability and implement customized field training related to individuals’ growth
- Demonstrate proper tool and equipment use, with an emphasis on safety.
- Coordinate job site performance check ins to maintain continuity and ensure Quality Control.
- Assist with new field service technician recruitment through multiple channels and in various states (DE, PA, NJ)
Skills:
- Knowledge and experience of the teaching and learning process with documented success.
- Ability to provide instruction that reflects multiple perspectives and multicultural education.
- Ability to infuse technology and best practices into curriculum and Field Service culture.
- Excellent oral, presentation, and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate well with outside customers and subcontractors as well as all levels of internal management and coworkers.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to defuse issues using de-escalation and problem-solving techniques.
- Ability to balance workload and prioritize in a fast-paced environment to meet predetermined deadlines.
- Knowledge of standard commercial construction practices required.
- OSHA training and related construction certifications preferred.
