Rubicon is in search of a Superintendent that exemplifies the companys value and mission.

The Superintendent is responsible for the daily operation of the jobsite, on site, including scheduling, production and procurement of material, manpower and equipment. Supervises all the direct labor positions on the assigned project. Manages and oversees any contracted work on the site to ensure successful project completion.

Construction Superintendent Requirements

• Bachelors degree in engineering or construction or related field
• 5 years of commercial construction experience
• Valid drivers license and ability to travel between project sites
• Understands construction plans and blueprints
• Manages time, people, and processes
• Excellent communication skills
• Understanding of subcontractors scope of work
• Understanding of OSHA 30 Safety guidelines
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• High integrity, team player, organized
• Takes initiative, plans effectively, and has excellent problem-solving ability
• Manges a crew and motivates them to excel
• Ensures company policies such as safety policies are consistently followed

Construction Superintendent Responsibilities

• Studies specifications and plans for construction within start and completion time constraints, accounting for staffing requirements for construction phases.
• Interacts with the Project Manager to determine the project schedule; develops and utilizes look ahead schedules to assess progress and spot upcoming issues.
• Coordinates the pre-construction meeting with the Project Manager prior to mobilization.
• Works with Project Manager to keep project under budget
• Maintain jobsite safety
• Directs procurement of tools and materials to be delivered in accordance to construction schedule.
• Ensures all parties involved with the project are informed of construction issues and progress, including vendors, clients and subcontractors.
• Confers with supervisory and engineering personnel and/or inspector and suppliers of tools and materials to resolve construction problems and improve construction methods
• Act as the quality control officer for the entire project
• Inspect work in-progress to maintain specifications and schedules
• Proactively anticipates problems before they arise
