We are looking for a Commercial Construction Superintendent for our growing construction company! Our candidate should be comfortable with a fast paced, family oriented environment.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in construction scheduling, project coordination, as well as making/gathering scopes and project schedules for subcontractors
- Consistently communicate with subcontractors and team members regarding scheduling, safety, quality, performance standards and construction methods; transparency is key
- Inform the project manager on a daily basis regarding the process, plans, and problems that could affect costs and/or schedules
- Thorough understanding of all project specifications and the contract
- Ensure that subcontract work meets quality requirements set by the owners and complies with municipality standards/requirements
- Carry out any additional responsibilities required by the project manager
Experiences and Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of commercial construction experience
- Team oriented
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Proficient using a computer, Microsoft Office, Dropbox, and other communication tools
- Strong understanding in AIA contracts, pay applications, etc
- Ability to evaluate projects and make necessary changes to ensure quality and improve completion schedules; adaptability
- Superintendent/foreman experience a plus
- Bilingual a plus
Salary commensurate with experience.
