Level: Mid-Level
Annual Salary Range (based on experience): $87K
Qualifications and Experience Requirements:
- Securing data base for documenting, tracking and historical analysis on compliant and non-compliant products
- Bachelor’s Degree (engineering or related field) preferred along with 3 to 5 years’ experience in a compliance, quality, or product technical role.
- Laboratory testing experience and internal auditing experience preferred
- 3 years in product tests relative to compliance certifications such as, UL, CSA, ANCE, ASTM, MIL, SAE, ABS, FAA, ICEA, IEC, EN, MSHA, and other qualification requirements based on applicable standards as deemed necessary.
- 3 years in testing, analyzing, and auditing processess
- Excellent ability to make sound judgements on matters observed with exceptional integrity.
- Self-starter capable of executing daily tasks with limited supervision.
- Excellent computer and data management skills. SAP experience a plus.
- Knowledge of applicable compliance standards is a plus
- Ability to travel 35%
Job Description
This is a fundamental role supporting a newly formed internal compliance program focused on assessing product and process adherence to defined industry standards and compliance programs. This role will be responsible for testing, analyzing, and auditing Wire and Cable products and production processes. The successful candidate will generate comprehensive reports that demonstrate compliance health for product listings and relative facilities that may include supplemental data packets, analytical summaries, risk analysis and initial conclusions. The Engineer will also coordinate and work with internal technical resources and operations resources in order to maintain a high level of process integrity and adherence to compliance standards. This role will require an intimate level of knowledge and comprehension of the industry and regulatory performance standards and the products to which they apply.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for performing defined product tests relative to compliance certifications such as, UL, CSA, ANCE, ASTM, MIL, SAE, ABS, FAA, ICEA, IEC, EN, MSHA, and other qualification requirements based on applicable standards as deemed necessary.
- Provide comprehensive non-conformance reports for leadership review.
- Maintain a complex and secure data base for documenting, tracking and historical analysis on compliant and non-compliant products.
- Assist in planning and coordinating a product testing queue as well as a facility audit schedule.
- Visit manufacturing facilities to perform compliance audits and generate audit reports.
