Community & Donor Relations Associate Job at Project Turnabout
Project Turnabout is seeking a full-time Community & Donor Relations Associate to work at our Granite Falls, MN campus.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Be an active participating member of the External Relations Team
- Answer and make phone calls, and collaborative site visits using tact and diplomacy to individuals and collaborative relations in the community
- Attend scheduled meetings on all campuses as needed
- Maintain files on each contact and collaborative meetings
- Work cooperatively and obtain input from and with the Leadership Team in supporting and promoting the mission and vision of Project Turnabout.
- Collaborate with other members of External Relations Team to carry out key initiatives in the areas of Development, Outreach, and Marketing for Project Turnabout.
- Identify key contacts within the community to explain Project Turnabout services and provide information about obtaining assistance to partner and collaborate
- Develop and complete acknowledgement letters, correspondence, and monthly impact reports for donations received, including end of year and/or final grant reports, and development analytics
- Work closely with managers, supervisors and directors in all departments of the facility obtaining the correct information from the appropriate departments regarding services, data and operations regards to duties, tasks, needs and progress reports
- Coordinate solicitation of gifts, provide the follow-up acknowledgments and stewardship of donated funds
- Integral role in new and existing development and fundraising events
- Write and edit grant proposals aligned with Project Turnabout objectives
- Maintain up-to-date records and documentation on all secured, pending, and proposed grants, including copies of all completed grants, associated correspondence, and accurate log and calendar of action steps in fundraising database
- Research SUD and other related grant opportunities as assigned; local, state and national opportunities.
- Willing to learn Non-Profit Law and Legislation
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- 2-5 years of writing experience in a non-profit setting/writing directed to a donor audience
- Working knowledge of issues that impact charitable giving
- Prior experience using a donor or customer relationship management database
- Must have at least two years of freedom chemical and gambling use problems
- Must be able to pass a MN Dept. of Human Services criminal background study
