Communication Specialist IV Job Summary
· $46,000 - $80,000 annual salary
· Days, 8 am - 5 pm
· Install, service, and repair communications equipment.
· Perform in the field or on the bench, repair services on radio base stations, consoles, microwave networks, computer networks and other equipment.
· Configure software to ensure proper operation of radio system, microwave network, consoles, and emergency equipment,
· Perform component level repair of communications equipment, surveillance equipment, and other electrical equipment for public safety, public service, and other agencies as required.
Communications Specialist IV Qualifications:
· HS diploma and two year electronics curriculum completion from an accredited college or university
· Good written and oral communications skills
· Knowledge of basic electronics and communication electronics
· Knowledge of wired communication systems such as LANs and WANs and proficiency in computer network installation
· Current driver's license
· Ability to pass an extensive background check
