The Healthcare Association of New York State is seeking a Communications Coordinator for its Advancing Healthcare Excellence and Inclusion (AHEI) program within its Communications and Marketing team. This position reports to the Senior Director, Communications and Project Management and will be responsible for ensuring all communications activities associated with the AHEI program are properly planned, synchronized and executed.
This position will start in January 2023 and is grant funded until December 2023 with the possibility of a yearly renewal until 2024. A remote working environment may be considered. The salary for this position is between $57,000 and $62,000 annually.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Acts as primary liaison between Communications and Marketing; Quality Advocacy, Research and Innovation; and Healthcare Educational and Research Fund teams to ensure the success of all AHEI program-related communications, marketing and grant-writing activities.
- Generates and edits AHEI content and ensures editorial consensus among stakeholders as necessary.
- Develops, executes and maintains content online, on social media and in print; including recruitment and participant communications, event marketing and educational materials.
- Takes ownership of all phases of the program?s communications process, including but not limited to assuring:
- successful completion of all deliverables on deadline;
- timely promotion of webinars and educational initiatives; and
- timely creation and completion of digital and print communications for the program.
- Assists AHEI Director in preparing grant proposals and reports. Gathers and formats information including project nature, objectives, data and lessons learned. Writes, revises and edits drafts of grant applications and reports and obtains approvals.
- Provides design support for print and digital materials including brochures, flyers, posters, slide decks, digital newsletters and other associated needs.
- Ensures program messaging consistency across all print and digital materials. Aligns materials with HANYS style guide and AHEI branding guidelines.
- Assists Communications staff with proofreading, editing and writing responsibilities, as well as research or any other activities deemed necessary and appropriate.
