Communications Associate Job at The Village Market ATL
The Communications Associate will be responsible for managing The Village Market’s public image with the planning and implementation of strategic initiatives that expands awareness, engagement with the public and attracting new audiences. Communications Associate responsibilities include tracking and analyzing the performance of advertising campaigns, managing ensuring that all marketing material is in line with our brand identity. To be successful in this role, you should have hands-on experience with web analytics, media relations and be able to turn creative ideas into effective advertising projects. Ultimately, you will help us build and maintain a strong and consistent brand.
Responsibilities
- Develop communication strategies and tactics to get the word out about our company and drive qualified traffic to our front door
- Track Brand related media and provide monthly reporting
- Ensure that company communications are up to standard through proper editing
- Oversee monthly communication
- Develop great relations with the media.
- Deploy successful marketing and communication materials and campaigns and own their implementation from ideation to execution
- Develop promotional communication materials
- Build strategic relationships and partner with key industry players, agencies and vendors
- Prepare, review, monitor and update the company’s communication strategies to ensure market alignment.
- Develop staff in external communications through training initiatives.
- Measure and report on the performance of marketing campaigns, gain insight and assess against goals
- Analyze consumer behavior and adjust email and advertising campaigns accordingly
Requirements
- Demonstrable experience in communication together with the potential and attitude required to learn
- Proven experience in media relations identifying target audiences and in creatively devising and leading across channels marketing campaigns that engage, educate and motivate
- Solid knowledge of website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, NetInsight, Omniture, WebTrends)
- Experience in setting up and optimizing Google Adwords campaigns
- Numerically literate, comfortable working with numbers, making sense of metrics and processing figures with spreadsheets
- A sense of aesthetics and a love for great copy and witty communication
- Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in communication, online marketing and measurement
- BSc/MSc degree in Communications or related field.

Pay rate: $22 per hour
Hours per week: 40 hours per week
Pay frequency: Bi-monthly
Shift Time: 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
Shift: Monday-Friday (some Weekends and Holidays)
