CNC Operator Job at Canyon Composites
Canyon Composites, Inc. is a robust aerospace fabrication and assembly company involved in
all levels of prime spacecraft and aircraft manufacture. With a strongly supportive clientele such
as Boeing Satellite systems, Northrop Grumman, General Dynamics, Ball Aerospace, and
NASA we offer full service manufacturing for the most difficult exotic material flight structures.
Position Description:
Canyon Composites, has an immediate opening for a CNC Operator. The candidate will work
with Haas, Mori Seiki and other CNC lathes and mills. The candidate will be responsible for
production runs from 1 to 1000 and will need to be able to tolerance parts to ensure quality and
accuracy. Candidates need to be experienced with the operation and upkeep of CNC
machinery, specifically mills and lathes. Candidates will also need to have their own machining
and measuring tools. This position will be on a daytime shift from 7 AM to 3:30 PM Monday
through Friday. Pay will depend on the extent of the candidates experience, knowledge and
interview.
Applicants must:
- Have a high-school diploma.
- Have a high degree of general craftsmanship and work ethic.
- Have excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
- Own setup and inspection tools.
- Provide a resume.
Recommended Skills:
- Experience with part setup.
- Familiarity with Haas and Fanuc Controllers.
- Be able to read and interpret ANSI Y14.5 blueprints and specifications.
- Have a stable work history
- Have some knowledge of machining composites.
Salary and Workload:
- Salary is negotiable based on experience at approximately $10.00-$16.00 / hr.
- Workload is 40 hr. / week. Expect overtime.
