JOB SUMMARY
The Clinical Launch Director will support the commercialization of THINK Surgical’s new, groundbreaking robotic technology in the Orthopedics space. They will be responsible for creating a training program to educate and train hospital staff and surgeons to independently use our robotic technology in the operating room (OR) without clinical support from THINK Surgical (i.e., self-sufficiency). The Clinical Launch Director will also build and lead a team of Clinical Launch Specialists who will carry out the training program. The training program may be executed in several different environments, including the OR, cadaver labs, sawbones labs, virtual reality, etc. It is important that the Clinical Launch Director incorporate virtual reality into the training program with THINK Surgical’s vendor, Osso VR. The candidate must be able to work in a fast paced, high stress environment. Previous OR experience is required, and previous robotic training experience is a plus. Must have proven experience in clearly and concisely presenting technical information to surgeons, staff, and other hospital employees and success in leading teams clinical training of medical devices.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop a training program to enable surgeons and OR staff to independently use THINK Surgical’s robotics technology in the OR. This will require actively seeking input and review from other groups within THINK Surgical.
- Establish a team of Clinical Launch Specialists and other employees who can carry out the training program.
- Capable of executing the training program to personally train orthopedic surgeons and operating room staff on all aspects of our robotic offerings.
- Work with new customers to establish complete product adoption and high utilization. Institute processes and procedures to improve product adoption and high utilization.
- Provide technical assistance on THINK Surgical’s robotic technology during total joint replacement surgical procedures.
- Keep abreast of and understand changes made to THINK Surgical’s robotic technology and, where necessary, update training for Clinical Launch Specialists and the training program to address such changes.
- Support the field sales team by training them on use of THINK Surgical’s products (e.g., TMINI and TCUVIS) on a regular basis to advance their product knowledge and selling skills.
- Assist the field sales team in demonstrating THINK Surgical’s products to surgeons and other customer prospects, and support demonstrations at customer sites, trade shows, THINK Surgical’s offices and other potential locations.
- Represent the company with the highest levels of professionalism to maintain our market brand/image as a world leader in medical robotics.

Required:
- Bachelor degree in science or related field.
- 3-5 years Operating Room clinical support experience.
- Excellent verbal and written, interpersonal and presentation communication skills.
- Must be capable of making decisions quickly in a high-pressure setting.
- Must demonstrate confidence, trust and a high level of product knowledge.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical skills, initiative, judgment and problem-solving ability.
- Excellent computer skills, including Windows, word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software.

- Knowledge of good manufacturing practices (GMP) and applicable Quality System Standards.

- Physical activities include, but not limited to constant manual dexterity, moving about the work site, and/or handling objects weighing up to 20 lbs.
