Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, we are seeking an experienced, highly motivated Clinical Administrator to plan, direct and manage the administrative and operational activities of the Urgent Care Center. This position will provide leadership, communication and guidance to all physicians, advanced practice providers, and staff in the UCC while promoting MBI's Mission, Vision and Core Values.

Clinical Administrator Job Duties- Urgent Care Center
POSITION OBJECTIVE:
The Administrator is responsible for setting objectives, managing the budgets and schedules, supervising insurance procedures, spearheading new programs and treatments, and developing strategies to optimize clinic operations. On a daily basis, they will address issues and concerns, resolving them promptly and efficiently.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The statements below are intended to describe the general nature and scope of work being performed by this position. This is not a complete listing of all responsibilities, duties, and/or skills required. Other duties may be assigned.
- Develop and review practice budgets and manage funding
- Oversee staffing needs, including physician and provider recruitment
- Review all office contracting, including professional staff, insurance/reimbursement contracts, and hospital call/reimbursement contracts
- Organize delivery of patient care
- Plan provider and staff scheduling
- Manage patient medical records
- Develop, implement, and author office policy, including government compliance within HIPAA and OIG regulations
- Develop, implement, and author human resource and office procedures
- Assess practice management computer systems, review new software and hardware products, and develop training schedules for staff
- Develop billing and collection policies for patient accounts
- Monitor insurance company reimbursement, look for trends, and attend network meetings to stay up to date on policy changes
- Develop marketing plans
- Working with medical staff to coordinate patient care needs, including ordering lab tests and imaging studies as needed
- Ensuring that clinical staff and physicians follow HIPAA guidelines when dealing with patients’ medical information
- Overseeing the operations of a medical facility, including hiring and training staff and monitoring quality control of patient care
- Coordinating care with other medical professionals such as physicians and nurses, as well as insurance companies, government agencies, and patients’ personal physicians
- Reviewing medical records to ensure they are legible and complete
- Scheduling appointments and keeping patient records on file in an electronic database or paper chart
- Managing the financial health of a clinic by monitoring expenses and securing funding for new projects.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Nurse Practitioner Certification or Physician Assistant
- Licensure required as a Nurse Practitioner in the District of Columbia
- Minimum of three years experience supervising personnel at a medical facility and 3-5 years proven experience directing and coordinating the daily operations and delivery of quality health services, marketing, customer relations, and financial management.
- Familiar with Microsoft Suite and related software
- Knowledge of patient confidentiality laws, OSHA regulations and medical billing practices.
- Comfortable talking with customers and patients, able to train staff members, strong leadership skills, capable of directing personnel, comfortable speaking in front of people, able to train staff members and give them direction, capable of writing reports, detail oriented, good delegating skills, and able to multitask.

TECHNICAL SKILLS:
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have strong working knowledge of the use of personal computers and various software packages such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; and must be able to learn other computer software programs as required by assigned tasks. Must be able to operate common office equipment.
SUPERVISORY CONTROLS:
- The Administrator makes assignments by providing instructions, defining objectives, priorities, and deadlines, and assists the incumbent with unusual situations. The incumbent plans and carries out successive steps of assignments, handling problems and deviations in the work in accordance with instructions, policies, procedures and previous training. Completed work is reviewed for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to instructions, procedures, and policies.

Pay: $135,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
