SUBJECT: CLINICAL COORDINATOR

DEPARTMENT: Comprehensive Youth Services, Inc. Runaway and Homeless Youth Programs serving Macomb, St. Clair, Huron and Sanilac Counties MI.

HOURS: Not to exceed 40 hours a week including day, evening and some weekend hours. Exact schedule is arranged with the Director of Runaway and Homeless Youth Programs.

REQUIREMENTS: A Master’s degree with a major in social work or guidance and counseling and proof of State licensure. Experience and knowledge of youth development, family dynamics, experience in counseling and case management and experience in a child caring agency is desired. Proof of a negative TB test; DHHS Central Registry Clearance; 3 professional references; no criminal convictions involving harm or threatened harm to an individual.

SUPERVISED BY: Director of Runaway and Homeless Youth Programs

COMPENSATION: Salary is compensatory upon education and experience. Medical and Dental benefits after 90 days. 15 leave days a year after 90 days and 10 Vacation days a year awarded after 6 months. The company also reimburses work related travel mileage and provides a 10% match into employees 403b retirement account.

RESPONSIBILTIES:

• Responsible for implementation and oversight of individual and family counseling, treatment planning, discharge planning and all related paperwork for residential clients.

• Participate in case consultation, business meetings, weekly Intrastaff meetings and in-house trainings.

• Available for staff consultation, in-person and by phone, regarding client /family case management, client activities & crisis issues.

• Work with Program Managers regarding client and family needs, case management and concerns.

• Oversees scheduling of all therapy staff, including supervision of therapy interns.

• Coordinate outpatient/prevention cases and meet with the Advocates regularly and as needed for supervision.

• Assist in the planning and development, and maintaining policies and procedures of the program in accordance with the Best-Practice Standards.
• Provide aftercare counseling for up to 90 days to previous residential clients.
• Provide outpatient counseling for up to 90 days as availability allows.
• Assist in the implementation of the program including coordination with community agencies and resources.
• Participate in public relations activities, outreach, training and community collaboration meetings.
• Assure for the compliance of all licensing laws, regulations, and requests and assists in the care and maintenance of the facility observing all health, fire, safety and emergency procedures.
• Provide best practice standards in all aspects of the program and serve as a role model to staff.
• Ensure the continual health, safety, and protection of all clients
• Other duties as assigned by the Director of Runaway and Homeless Youth Programs.
