Founded in 1921, Straub Medical Center includes a 159-bed hospital in Honolulu, a network of neighborhood clinics and a visiting specialist program that reaches throughout the state of Hawai'i. With over 200 physicians who are leaders in their fields, Straub provides its patients with diagnoses and treatments for more than 32 different medical specialties, including bone and joint, heart, cancer, endocrinology/diabetes, family medicine, gastroenterology, geriatric medicine, internal medicine, vascular and urology. The Straub Hawai‘i Kai Family Health Center covers 12,000 square feet of patient care area and offers women's health services, adult primary care, pediatric care and specialty care. The center provides services in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of illness and injury for infants, children, adolescents and adults. We cover the entire age range from birth to end of life/geriatric care, including specialty care available in internal medicine, pediatrics, OB/GYN, dermatology, gastroenterology, geriatrics, ophthalmology, rheumatology and urology.

You could gain valuable first-hand clinical operations and health care experience as a Clinic Aide. In this role you would serve as a nursing assistant who performs routine tasks ranging from monitoring supplies to administering health care to patients of all ages to supporting departmental staff. Minimum Qualifications: Nurse aide or medical assistant certificate showing successful completion of courses for a nurse assistant or medical assistant training program; completion of a fundamentals course from an accredited school of Nursing (name of nursing school and completion of fundamentals course); Military Corpsman certificate; EMT (Emergency Medical Technician) or MICT (Mobile Intensive Care Technician) certificate; A Registered Nurse/Medical Doctor license or graduate certificate from a college in a foreign country. Current American Heart Association Heart Saver - AED CPR card.

Preferred Qualifications: Completion of medical terminology course.
