CLERK I - BINGO- Seminole Casino Brighton Job at Seminole Gaming
JOB SUMMARY:
Under the supervision of Bingo Management, the incumbent is responsible for selling admission bingo paper and computers (handheld) to customers. Also responsible for control of bingo paper issued to them and cash received from customers.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
May include but are not limited to:
- Abides by all Casino policies and procedures and internal controls.
- Verifies amount of bingo paper issued at the beginning of shift and signs for bingo paper received on appropriate form.
- Accurately enters admission sales data for each customer into the computer system. This information includes bingo paper sold, computers sold, and either computer or paper issued on a complimentary basis and cash received.
- Maintains adequate supply of bingo paper and cash for change during session to ensure customers are admitted easily. Requests additional bingo paper from inventory clerk as necessary.
- Counts the amount of bingo paper on hand at the end of sales. The amount must be verified by the Inventory Control Clerk. Both Clerk I and Inventory Clerk must sign form verifying bingo paper returned, noting agreement.
- Adheres to all Casino policies and procedures and internal controls.
- Becomes acquainted with regular quests; calls by name as appropriate.
- Maintains positive staff/management and player/house relations.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Must possess excellent communication skills.
- Must have strong interpersonal skills.
- Must have thorough knowledge of the principals and procedures of the bingo games operated by the casino.
- Skilled in using 10-key adding machine.
- 3 – 6 months cash handling experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to perform assigned duties in highly disruptive conditions.
- Ability to maintain visual attention and mental concentration for significant periods of time.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Must have thorough knowledge of the principals and procedures of the games under supervision.
- Must have strong interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to do basic math quickly and accurately; addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Must pass initial drug screening and random drug tests.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- May be exposed to casino related environmental factors including, but not limited to: second hand smoke, excessive noise, and constant interaction with the general public.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move 20 pounds or more. Specific vision abilities that may be required by this job include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

- The Casino environment is hectic, fast-paced and often crowded and noisy.
