Salary: $65,000 - 80,000 plus comprehensive benefits package

Location: Van Nuys, Woodland Hills, San Fernado, Los Angeles (Hybrid remote/office work schedule)

Independent retail agency insurance broker is seeking a Property and Casualty Claims Analyst.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Property and Casualty Claims Analyst who will be
responsible for the reporting of client’s claims, monitoring claims progress, and maintaining a
positive relationship with sales staff. The Property and Casualty Claims Analyst is an integral
part of the claims team by promptly reporting claims and ensuring that claims are being moved
towards resolution. Using their extensive knowledge of Property and Casualty claims insurance,
the Property and Casualty Claims Analyst ensures that our customers are consistently receiving
exceptional customer service.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Address incoming claims to determine reportable or incident; forward to intake unit to
report to carrier.
  • Review and follow up on client’s claims from inception to closure.
  • Build solid relationships and trust with the Clients through regular communication and
understanding the clients’ needs during the claims process.
  • Support Producer and service team by servicing the clients’ needs and protecting the
clients’ interests during the claims process.
  • Develop and maintain good working alliances with Carriers to facilitate timely handling
of claims.
  • Provide stellar customer service to our clients by promptly responding to their inquiries
and addressing their needs while adhering to the company Policy and Procedure
Guidelines.
  • Keep Producer and service team fully informed of all-important claims activities on their
accounts including being sensitive to potential problems and informing management
accordingly
  • Obtain loss runs from carriers.
  • Prepares claims reports for internal and external clients as requested
  • Follow agency Errors & Omissions guidelines and uphold agency standards at all times.
  • Maintain current suspense on all open claims
  • Assists with preparing special reports for presentations, marketing, renewals, etc.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years experience in all aspects of Property and Casualty claims handling
  • Strong technical knowledge of Property and Casualty claims
  • Above par communication skills and painstakingly obsessed with attention to detail
  • Positive attitude combined with contagious enthusiasm
  • Strong ability to work both independently and within a team
  • Able to translate the insurance jargon into layman's terms
  • Professional demeanor
  • Extremely detail oriented and able to multi-task
  • AMS360 experience is preferred
  • College degree is a plus but high school diploma or GED required
  • Valid Property and Casualty license or ability to obtain shortly after employment
