Eichleay has an opportunity for a Civil/Structural Engineer to join our team. This position can be based remotely or from our Eichleay location Westminster, CA. You will work on various projects in a collaborative, multi-discipline environment in this role. You will report to the Civil, Structural, Architecture Team Manager in this position.

Compensation: $90,000-$145,000 anticipated annual salary *estimated salary may vary based on experience and location*

Additional Job Responsibilities:

• Lead development of structural deliverable including drawings, calculations, and construction work packages.

• Work independently with limited supervision.

• Provide direction to other team members including designers and junior engineers.

• Prepare proposals, scopes of work, budgets, and schedules for structural tasks.

• Collaborate effectively with internal team members including project managers and other engineering disciplines.

• Effectively communicate and collaborate with internal team members and occasionally contractors and clients.
• Perform structural design and analysis calculations using governing codes and standards and structural analysis software.
• Provide drawings and produce sketches of designs to be incorporated in drawings by Designers/Drafters.
• Perform field activities such as observing and recording existing field conditions.
• Conduct construction administration including responding to RFI’s.
• Develop technical reports.

Requirements/Skills:

• BS in Civil/Structural Engineering or related degree with 5+ years of structural experience.
• Must have California PE License
• Experience with performing structural design and analysis calculations using governing codes and standards.
• Experience with drawing for own designs and produce sketches to incorporate in drawings by Designers/Drafters.
• Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Suite.
• Excellent written and verbal skills.
• Experience with structural analysis software.

Preferred Requirements/Skills:

• Structural experience within one of the following or similar markets: oil and gas, chemical, biotech/pharma, food & beverage, and/or renewables & solar.

Experience

• 5 - 8 years: 5-8+ years experience practicing structural engineering with a California PE license.

Education

• Bachelors or better in Civil Engineering
