Childcare Staff
Hourly Pay Rate: $15.53 - $16.81

Incentives:
-Sign on bonus: $500 received 30 days after employment start date
-Free childcare for up to 2 children in any Community Schools childcare program on the days worked in the program.

The district covers approximately 500 square miles and serves the communities of Boulder, Erie, Louisville, Lafayette, Superior, Broomfield, Nederland, Ward, Jamestown and Gold Hill.

Summary:
Child Care Staff must enjoy supporting elementary aged students with their academic work and helping them with interpersonal peer interactions while following Colorado Department of Human Services Child Care Center Rules and Regulations.

Responsibilities:
-Help students with daily school work and interpersonal peer interactions. Help with overall before and after school program support, field trips, and special events.
-Ensure the safety of children
-Assist in maintaining compliance with licensing guidelines set by the Colorado Department of Human Services, local County Health Department and School District policies and procedures.
-Participate in trainings, workshops, in-services, professional learning community meetings for ongoing learning
-Maintain confidentiality and a high level of ethical behavior and professionalism
-Maintain positive working relationships with school personnel
-Utilize computer and software applications for at least taking attendance, required trainings, and timesheets.
-Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Required:
-Must be at least 16 years of age
-Must hold a valid Colorado driver’s license.
-Must be able to lift 50 pounds to assist children as needed with health care needs.
-Ability to manage multiple tasks with frequent interruptions
-Ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the job

Preferred:
-Minimum of one year experience in an Early Childhood setting
- Completed CDHS courses/training in: Injury Prevention & Playground Safety for School Age Centers.
-Current CPR/First Aid Certification
