to ensure appropriate reserves and that credit risk is appropriately identified and quantified.
- Provide portfolio management oversight to ensure that HVCU’s asset quality and loan profitability meet stated objectives.
- Provide oversight to the reporting on the entire loan portfolio to include analysis of growth, performance, vintage analysis, exception tracking & performance of exceptions, loan concentrations by sector, product and geography, etc.
- Work with Finance/Accounting to ensure accuracy of the calculation of the Current Expected Credit Loss (CECL) on a quarterly basis.
- Consult with lines of business to design and implement appropriate analytical tools, stress scenarios, and risk reports to effectively monitor risk, manage exposure, enhance decision making, and communicate changes concerning risk appetite or tolerances.
- Responsible for the oversight and preparation of loan information submitted to the Board of Directors for review and approval each month.
- Ensure that the credit risk function is appropriately staffed and that a strong line of succession is in place. Interface with the collection group, which provides ongoing hands on collection efforts for troubled assets.
- Engage lines of business to identify and evaluate trends and evolving risks within the portfolio and to develop appropriate responses.
- Ensure that credit policies and procedures are routinely reviewed and appropriate for the organization’s credit appetite. Ensure the policies and procedures are well-communicated throughout the organization.
- Oversee the loan approval process which includes chairing the loan committee process as well as monitoring systems for consumer portfolios.
- Ensure that all loan systems and tracking techniques provide the required data to support risk ratings and loan adjudication as well as reporting to regulators, executive management and the Board of Directors
- Interface with regulators as required.
- Adhere to all Credit Union policies, procedures, and regulatory agency requirements. Participate in all required and recommended training and development including, but not limited to, Bank Secrecy Act training (BSA) and demonstrate attained knowledge. Participate on Credit Union teams, projects and strategic initiatives when the opportunity arises. Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

- Responsible for regular and predictable attendance including punctuality.
- Bachelor’s Degree or at least 2 years equivalent experience for each undergraduate year not completed; undergraduate degree cannot substitute for minimum number of years of experience required.
- Master’s Degree Business preferred
- Minimum 10 Years Credit Experience including consumer, commercial, auto, and real estate areas required.
- Minimum 5 Years experience as a Senior Loan Officer or Administrator at a financial institution required.
