Channel Distribution Development Manager Minnesota Wisconsin


YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES


This is a residence based position within territory and will cover the states of Minnesota and Wisconsin.


The primary responsibilities of this role, Channel Distribution Development Manager, are to:


  • Drive to help deliver the best experience possible to Channel growers by hiring and developing elite seed professionals (Channel Seedsmen);
  • Identify, recruit and prioritize where Channel needs increased distribution;
  • Evaluate and qualify current distribution market;
  • Work with local teams on all phases of the recruitments process;
  • Qualify new seedsmen through an interview process;
  • Work in collaboration with area leadership teams and the Distribution Strategy team to create and execute the Channel distribution plan for a defined area;
  • Gather business intelligence to align and develop area plans;
  • Support Seedsman compensation programs within the assigned area;
  • Strengthen business relationships between Channel and Seedsman by identifying the needs and implementing the "services" into the Seedsmen’s Business Plan, coordinating with the regional Seedsmen council, and defining the communication plan;
  • Develop a cohesive on-boarding process to integrate new Seedsmen into the Channel organization;
  • Work in coordination with the Channel Distribution Strategy team and overall brand to implement continual development that provides a strong Channel Distribution network;
  • Coach by influence the help Field Sales Leadership (ABMs) and Field Sales Reps (DSMs) develop the Seedsmen;
  • Help drive the broader distribution strategy of the region (become a member of Regions Leadership Team);
  • Position entails driving a company vehicle (pooled or assigned to the individual). This may include being required to drive greater than 7,500 business miles annually in a personal, pooled, or rented vehicle OR being expected to frequently drive a pooled car as part of your job duties – regardless of mileage;

Required Qualifications:


  • Bachelors degree (must be completed by start date);
  • Experience in sales and management;
  • Demonstrated ability to empower, develop, and coach a team of individuals in a sales environment;
  • Possess high degree of problem resolution skills;
  • Possess strong conflict management skills;
  • Ability to source, screen and select qualified and motivated sales professionals;
  • Experience partnering cross functionally to create business plans and implement strategies;
  • Ability to create a diverse and inclusive environment;
  • Demonstrated skills and knowledge in selling the value of products;
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changes in the business;
  • High integrity and accountability;
  • Ability to lift up to 60 lbs (a bag of seed);
  • Valid driver’s license. Driving record (MVR) will be reviewed (i.e. moving violations, accidents, license suspension, etc.) and must meet guidelines based on the company’s Risk Screening for Hiring Drivers;

Preferred Qualifications;

  • Seven years of sales/management experience

Domestic relocation may be offered for this role
