Certified Optima Solutions Professional Job at PPG Industries
As a Certified Optima Solutions Professional, you will support PPG products being used in an automotive assembly plant environment. You will ensure the efficient performance of PPG Automotive Coatings products by providing technical sales and service support to the customer with Electrocoat.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the new Electrocoat tank, and topcoat products with the new product launch.
- Support and assure compliance with PPG and Hyundai EHS standards.
- Participation in shop daily production meetings, provide weekly process, product performance, and testing reports, monthly material consumption reports; and identify Key Performance Indicators.
- Support the site manager and generate a process map for electrocoat and topcoat booths to detail process parameters yearly.
- Collaboration with the production & process team to resolve the cause of the defects and provide expert solutions for troubleshooting.
- Familiar with data collection techniques and equipment.
- Support and work in the plant during shutdowns especially with Electrocoat.
- Be able to explain and report weekly electrocoat lab results to the customer.
- Maintain up-to-date all PPG-required apps.
- Build customer relationships.
- Work in coordinated efforts with E-Coat coordinators
- Monitor adjusting system batch parameters.
- Have as related to Pretreatment.
- Identify if the defect is coming from Pretreatment or E-Coat
- Ensure paint orders from start to finish.
- Be able to work on occasion Saturday and extra hours during the week.
- Familiar with Analytical Testing and Equipment.
- Lifting required up to 25 lbs.
- College Degree, High School Diploma, or GED, with some college chemistry, general science, or a related field.
- 5+ years in Electrocoat in a plant setting.
- Experience with OEM plant launches in Electrocoat.
- Strong digital literacy, analytical skills, and attention to detail are required.
- Fluent in Microsoft Office programs.
