Occupational Therapist - COTA

• 2022-2023 school year
• Full time | Monday-Friday | 37.5 Hours/Week
• Great school district with supportive staff!
• Must have a New Mexico State COTA license or be willing to obtain
• Out of state Occupational Therapists and new grads are welcome to apply!

Job Responsibilities:

Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) plan and provide occupational therapy to students with mental, physical or emotional disabilities in need of these services to maximize physical or mental functioning, increase independent functioning, and/or adjust disabilities. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Plan and provide direct and/or indirect services consistent with occupational therapy goals contained in the student's individual plan
• Evaluate student progress and make recommendations regarding treatment
• Create an environment conducive to learning and appropriate for the maturity level, interests, and needs for each assigned student.
• Communicate effectively with District staff, students, and parents regarding student progress on IEP goals, and complete quarterly IEP progress reports
• Compile, maintain, and file all reports, records, and other required documents

Certifications:

• Associate degree
• COTA License/NBCOT
