As part of our Nursing Assistant's Training Program, you'll receive the knowledge and skills need to jumpstart a career in nursing. Participants receive 120 hours of instructor-led classroom education and hands-on clinical skill training at The New Hope Education Center, centrally located on Jefferson Avenue in Downtown Buffalo. CNA | Role & Responsibilities:

• Activities of Daily Living - assist or perform such tasks (bathing, toileting, nutrition/hydration, oral hygiene, hair care, nail care, facial care, changing bed linens, clothing)
• Proper Positioning - of Resident in bed, chair or wheelchair for comfort and prevention of pressure areas.
• Resident Mobility - assists in ambulation with/without supportive aides, transfers or lifts utilizing proper techniques.
• Supportive Measures - under direction of a nurse, assists in ROM exercises, applies slings, braces, splints, etc., as directed.
• Vital Statistics - measures and records height, weight, TPR as requested.
• Specimens - performs simple test on urine and stool. Collects urine and stool specimens for Lab.
• Assists in providing care of the terminally ill and gives post-mortem care.
• Answer call lights, intercom and telephone.
• Other responsibilities may be assigned.
