Vanderbilt Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is seeking Certified Nurse-Midwives with acute, high-risk experience for an integrated teaching role in our Maternal Special Care Unit (OB triage) and Labor & Delivery at Vanderbilt University Hospital. The selected candidates will receive a faculty appointment in the School of Medicine, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Division of Advanced Practice. Consideration for a 0.65 FTE, night position (16 nights in 8 weeks; avg 2 per week).
These positions will include covering Labor & Delivery or OB triage primarily at night and attending births with our OBGYN residents, seeing patients of all risk levels in OB triage, and postpartum rounding. Responsibilities will also include teaching of residents, medical and midwifery students. 12 hour shifts only (no 24 hr calls). Weekends and shared holiday rotations should also be expected. Highly supportive MD, nursing and administrative colleagues.
The right candidates will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in full scope practice with high risk experience.
