School Food Management Company seeking a dedicated and experienced manager for a leadership position at an Daycare-7th Grade school in Uptown New Orleans. This is a full time position. Candidates will be part of a growing and successful company that is a leader in the New Orleans area. Applicants must enjoy working in a school setting and provide a positive and uplifting experience. Must have experience managing employees in a restaurant/school setting. Ideal Candidate must be willing to be flexible with their schedule as per demanded by the position. Candidate will be required to drive a company vehicle. This position has an anticipated start date of July 15th.

Ideal candidate should possess the following qualities:

  • Must be able to pass extensive background check with Includes a driving record background check.
  • Serve Safe Certified
  • Computer knowledge including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and POS systems.
  • Preferred two years of supervisory experience in food service or restaurant.
  • Excellent Leadership Skills and Employee Management
  • Willingness to grow and evolve with the position
  • Cooking Experiance
  • Daycare experience is preferred.

Duties include, but not limited to:

  • Work hands on and alongside team members preparing food and service daily.
  • Maintain and continuously coach a friendly, safe and sanitary work environment.
  • Proper record keeping including temperature logs and inventories.
  • Facilitates team meeting and preforms other assignments and task as directed by supervisor.
  • Ability to Order Product, Take Inventory and have a working knowledge of knowing what is on hand and the ability to manage the product at all times
  • Scheduling, Training, Hiring and Disciplining employees.
  • Experience Invoicing and Interacting with Client on a daily bases.
  • Employee will drive company vehicle to school site and to satellite kitchen. Employee will oversee transportation of food and set up the serving line.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience. + 2 or more years of related work experience.
  • Must be able to pass a federal background check.
  • 2 years plus management experience in Restaurant or Cafeteria Setting.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
