The Holiday Inn located in Countryside IL is growing and so is our Catering Staff
We are looking for a Catering and Event Manager who will book and manage our specialty events to include Weddings, Reunions, BarMitvahs etc...
The Holiday Inn is a 180 Room Hotel with over 26,000 sq ft of beautiful event space. It is home to Jameson's Charhouse and Onyx Events.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in Sales and Catering and Banquet Operations. This is a dual role that will both sell and service our clients - so they have one point of contact to ensure a successful and memorable event
QUALIFICATIONS:
- One year in Catering Sales/Banquet Operations
- Experience with Catering Software programs
- Understanding of menu development
- Food and Beverage knowledge a must
- Must be able to lead the function from conception to reality
- Be able to lead and direct the banquet staff
- Have experience in booking hotel guest rooms
- Must have excellent communication skill both verbally and written
- Detailed oriented
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Must be able to work evenings and weekends
- Will be required to take part in the MOD program
- Maintaining all sales and catering records such as: Contract, BEO's, menus
- Will be required to prospect for business via phone and outside sales calls
- Responsible for a booking goal each month
- This position requires weekend and evening availability
