Salary Range: $20.73/hr to $30.09/hr DOE Skagit Regional Health offers a comprehensive benefit package including medical, dental, vision, 457b/401a (retirement), long term disability, and paid time off to all employees holding an FTE of 20 or more hours per week. Eligible employees also receive sick time pay.
Essential Functions
Assists to capture all new cancer cases and maintains follow-up on patients in the Cancer Registry ensuring timeliness, completeness and accuracy of data entry in accordance with ACOS CoC guidelines. Attends all cancer conferences and cancer committee meetings, provides clerical support as required. Compiles and distributes agendas and records and takes and distributes cancer committee meeting minutes. Assist the Cancer Registrar with all quality assurance and CAP reviews. Assists in maintaining compliance with all CoC eligibility and program standards that directly relate to the registry. Provide assistance with cancer program quality improvement activities and other programmatic standards as needed. Maintain ability to effectively utilize Microsoft Office (Outlook) and department specific software applications to perform work. Communicate effectively and cooperatively in the workplace. Actively contribute to the achievement of Quality Improvement and Lean Process Improvement activities Complete all mandatory learning requirements in a timely manner Maintain current licensure and/or certification as required. Attend and actively participate in all department, team and/or committee meetings. Comply with all Skagit Regional Health, department and location specific policies and procedures. Performs other duties as assigned.
Education
High School graduate or GED required. Some college level coursework in business or healthcare preferred.
Experience/Training
Minimum one (1) year experience in oncology preferred. Prior data entry experience preferred.
License/Certification
None required.
Other Qualifications
Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills required. Must be able to effectively utilize Microsoft Office applications to perform work. Well-developed problem solving skills required. Must be able to effectively prioritize workload amongst frequent interruptions with competing priorities. Knowledge of medical terminology required. Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, cancer disease process preferred. Ability to coordinate work schedule with requirements of position (may include overtime and weekend work).
