Job Description
We are seeking a motivated CAD/CAM Programmer who is capable of producing flat pattern programs, CNC machining programs, and providing floor support for programs and troubleshooting. This role will regularly collaborate with the rest of Engineering team, Production Team, and the CEO.

Principal Responsibilities
- Determines the most efficient process for making parts and creates CNC programs
- Use blueprints and 3-dimensional computer designs to create the programs which result in precisely cut products.
- Selects raw materials, cutting tools, and miscellaneous shop supplies to be ordered by the Purchasing Department for special parts requirements
- Stays well-informed of new cutting tool technologies and implements required programming changes to reduce machining time
- Oversees the flow of programed parts according to priority and need date
- Creates part specific set-up sheets, verifies programs at first run, updates all CAD and CAM information for later duplication
- Works closely with machine operators ensuring effective communication and work instructions
- Mentors and trains machine operators on best machining practices, assists in troubleshooting
- Collaborate with Management, Engineering, and machine operators on new job launches and continuous improvement activities
Desired Qualifications
- Two-year technical degree or equivalent education and experience preferred
- Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication
- Understanding of Engineering drawings, dimensions, and tolerances
- Experience with RADAN programming, nesting and tooling
- Understanding of CAD software, Solidworks preferred
- Other programming software knowledge preferred but not required include Streambend, ARtube, Solidworks CAM, woodWOP, and PLANAR
