This role can be hybrid with flexibility to work from multiple locations if your experience has shown productivity outside of offices. Candidate must be able to travel to offices as needed for various internal and project meetings, workshops, and quality reviews.
Job Description
As CAD/BIM designer you will work alongside engineers and other designers in the design and production of process-mechanical piping, equipment layout, reinforced concrete structures and structural steel design for various water and wastewater projects. Similarly, the Civil designer will work to develop the design of water/wastewater/ stormwater conveyance infrastructure and site drainage and grading.
- CAD/BIM:
- Prepare plan, section, and detail drawings for various processes, piping, pumps, blowers, and structures.
- Create BIM models, Revit families, and CAD based files for use in the production of contract documents.
- Civil:
- Prepare drawings for site plans, profiles, and details for water/wastewater facilities, pipelines, and storm water collection
- Draft and develop alignments and profiles of roadways and pipelines, site grading, and drainage features.
- Coordinate with the other disciplines (structural, architectural, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, I&C, and site civil)
- Ensure drawing compliance with company and client CAD/BIM/Civil standards and styles
Qualifications and Skills
Required
- Knowledge and experience with Revit and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D skills
- Experience working in collaborative, multi-disciplinary teams
- Strong work ethic
- Ability to focus and complete work on schedule
- Willingness to learn and be mentored
Preferred
- Design experience with water and/or wastewater projects, piping systems, and/or site/civil
- Experience with some level of 2D AutoCAD MEP skills
Education
Preferred
- CADD or similar technology associate degree, and/or
- Revit / Civil 3D certification by AutoDesk
