Business Development Representative - Automotive Sales Job at Stonecrest Honda
Job Summary
Stonecrest Honda is looking for a couple of Business Development Representatives (BDR) to be a part of our growing team. The BDR will ensure that the dealership actualizes its maximum profit potential by communicating with customers due for service and by scheduling appointments. The BDR should be a team player, process oriented, a multi-tasker, friendly, goal oriented and persistent.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Communicates effectively with customers and prospects according to their preferred method of communication, whether by phone, by e-mail, or in person.
- Has thorough knowledge of all dealership products and services.
- Directs customers to product information resources, including those available on the Internet.
- Checks e-mail frequently and responds to inquiries immediately. Delivers messages intended for other departments promptly. Notifies customers that their messages have been forwarded to the appropriate personnel for prompt attention.
- Handles all inquiries personally and in an exceptional manner.
- Maintains an ongoing customer database to capture repeat business.
- Keeps abreast of new products, features, accessories, etc., and their benefits to customers.
- Maintains professional appearance.
ON JOB TRAINING / CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- BDR must be able to pass a Background, Motor Vehicle Record and Drug Test
- BDR will complete Manufacturer Product Training and Certification
- BDR will complete Compliance Training through Compligo
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit at desk for prolonged periods of time; type on a computer; and to talk or hear, both in person and by telephone.
- Employee must occasionally lift and carry office supplies up to 15 pounds.
- Employee will enter and exit cars and trucks varying in size and must be able to operate/drive vehicles with automatic and manual transmissions.
- Employee is required to have visual acuity to perform activities such as: driving a vehicle, preparing and emailing customer quotes; selecting color configurations; viewing a computer terminal and expansive reading.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee will spend most of the day in an office setting but at times will be exposed to outdoor weather conditions.
- This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers and fax machines.
- Office setting is busy with frequent interruptions and noise level is moderate.
