Position Summary
This position will serve as CIDD’s Contracts and Grants Manager. As such, this position will manage the largest component of CIDD’s financial portfolio as well as providing additional administrative roles. Duties include but are not limited to:
  • Developing budgets and proposals for a variety of funding agencies (i.e. federal and foundation grants, state and service contracts)
  • Providing faculty Principal Investigators with budgetary recommendations to facilitate completion of studies’ aims
  • Providing guidance to faculty to assure proposals meet funding agency and University policies and procedures
  • Serving as a point of contact with funding agencies to resolve financial or compliance issues
  • Negotiating with agencies to establish state and service contracts
  • Tracking accounts receivable and following up with delinquent payments
  • Monitoring and reconciling p-cards
  • Managing referral and appointment coordination for the clinic as well as faculty communications, waiting lists, and clinic space
  • Carrying out front desk procedures for EPIC including ensuring proper documentation and information is entered

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related discipline; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
  • Familiarity with Connect Carolina and Infoporte
  • Understanding of business processes and underlying accounting principles
  • Knowledge of UNC research administration pre and post award processes
  • Experience developing grant-related budget, adhering to UNC and funding agency guidelines
  • Experience using EPIC for patient scheduling
  • Experience working in a University setting
  • Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
