Job Summary
This is an entry-level analytic & systems support position with Wag Hotels, Inc. This position will receive work lead direction from the manager and be primarily responsible for regular data compilation from various sources, building & maintaining reports, & relevant data-driven insights.
Job Description
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Under direction from the position’s manager, the selected applicant will perform the following key functions (other functions may be introduced at the direction of the manager):
- Create and manage reports within BI software
- Scrub & clean data from multiple platforms as needed (Hotel Management, HR platform, employee training platform, google analytics/my business, etc.)
- Compiling, managing, and validating the accuracy of weekly & monthly business, marketing, financial & operational reports (these include sales forecasts, labor forecasts, conversions, customer insights, and many other KPIs/metrics).
- Generates targeted email lists.
- Tracks promotional campaign performance.
- Produces ad-hoc reports & can deep dive into data to provide meaningful insight, learnings & statistical significance.
- Compile decks & present information from reports to affected stakeholders and communicates with supervisor and other leaders to develop plans of action.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
The Analyst must have experience at:
- Reviewing and gathering data, finding patterns, anomalies and communicating those findings
- Advanced skills in Excel and strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Familiarity with BI tools (I.E. Zoho, Tableau, etc.)
- Ability to write, analyze, and develop SQL code
- Excellent verbal and written communication, independent analysis, and decision-making skills to help solve problems and give solutions clearly and professionally
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Ability to design intuitive and simple visual reports for both management and daily users
- Excellent documentation skills
- Ability to take initiative and work autonomously
- Interest in both project management and technical work
- Must be able to collaborate & communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders, from entry-level to C-Level Executives
- Must be comfortable working with new software platforms and learning existing hotel management platform
PREFERRED SKILLS
- Any combination of education in business, statistics, mathematics, or work. experience that will provide a basis for the skillsets necessary for this position.
- Familiarity with business analysis best-practices, cost-analysis, data-manipulation, financial reports, budget comprehension and process improvement.
- 1 year experience in business analytics or related area.
ADDITIONAL NOTES
This position is primarily in the office while sitting at a desk. Occasional travel may be necessary to visit off site locations but very rarely.
