Duties and Responsibilities:
- The Card Services Business Analyst is responsible for assisting management in analyzing and tracking business unit operational and production trends for the Card Services department and to promote ongoing efficiencies and profitability. Thorough understanding of the business unit’s needs, objectives, processes and systems requirements in order to maximize use and scalability of various systems. Appraise both current and future technology to better the overall business operation and profitability goals of the Card Services department.
- Thoroughly understand the business unit needs, objectives, third party relationships and interactions, and regulatory compliance requirements to maximize use of various system capabilities. Continuous monitoring of rules, regulations, programs, and third-party vendor integrations to maintain daily updates to the appropriate systems to ensure accuracy of all associated data fields.
- Daily maintenance of data and functional integrity of Card Service systems based on user interaction and vendor/investor notification.
- Supports the installation and implementation of new software applicable to Card Services and assures project timelines and requirements are met.
- Performs user acceptance testing for organizational implementations and releases.
- Continuous monitoring of Board Policies, Card Services guidelines, programs, and third-party vendor adjustments to maintain daily updates to the appropriate systems to ensure accuracy of all associated data fields.
- Applies proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help maximize the benefit of IT system investment.
- Responsible for daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly reporting of business operation reports and metrics.
Education and/or Experience:
- Four-year college / university degree or a combination of acceptable education and applicable experience in the debit/credit card industry.
- Significant and proven knowledge and understanding of all aspects of Card Services operation processes and procedures.
- A demonstrated thorough grasp of compliance and regulatory concepts (preferred), including Reg Z, Reg B, Reg B, Reg V, FCRA, SCRA, Reg CC, Reg D, and Truth-in-Savings.
- Strong understanding of fundamental technology.
- Proven ability and significant experience in Credit Card industry knowledge and understanding to proactively research and review technological abilities to mesh with business unit operational demands and ongoing needs.
- An understanding of product profitability through programs and performance tracking to analyze, report and recommend adjustments to enhance volume/profitability.
