Job Summary
Responsible for setting up breakfast buffet from beginning to end. Complete closing duties, including storing all reusable goods, breaking down goods, cleaning all equipment and areas, returning equipment to proper locations, locking refrigerators, restocking items, turning off lights, locking doors, and completing daily cleaning checklist. Set up, stock, and maintain work areas. Inspect the cleanliness and presentation of all china, glass, and silver prior to use. Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the day, practicing clean-as-you-go procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities
Interaction with guests making them feel welcome and appreciated.- Set up the buffet according to standards.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the buffet.
- Clear and clean tables as necessary.
- Empty trash containers when necessary.
- Maintain adequate supplies of food on the buffet.
- Prepare food according to standards.
- Follow correct food handling procedures.
- Plan and prepare food products for the following day according to occupancy forecast.
- It is important that the breakfast set up and placement of all products and equipment is consistent each day.
- Complete daily cleaning and sanitation reports as required by the Franchise.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
Requirements include basic reading, writing and math skills and some cooking and housekeeping experience is preferred.
Working Conditions
You may be required to work weekends, and/or holidays.- You may be required to report to work at early morning hours (4:00-5:00AM)
- Must be able to work with challenging clients / employees.
- Must be able to stand 90% of the shift.
- Must be able to work with challenging clients.
Physical Requirements
Flow of work and character of duties involve the coordination of manual dexterity and visual attention. Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time. Additionally, ability to both lift and push up to 50 lbs. is necessary.
