Brake Press Operator- 3rd Shift Job at Monroe Truck Equipment
Midwest’s Largest Truck Equipment Manufacturer and Distributor has an immediate opening for a Brake Press Operator. Build your career with a leading Manufacturer and Distributor of the highest quality Commercial Truck Equipment.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Read job specifications and blueprints to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
- Set stops and guides to specified length as indicated.
- Positon work pieces against stops or align layout marks with die or blade.
- Push buttons or depress pedals to activate machines.
- Observes machine operation to detect work piece defects and machine malfunction.
- Measure work piece dimensions with necessary tools.
- Remove burrs, sharp edges, rust and scale from work pieces.
- Perform minor machine maintenance.
- Trouble shoot machine operations.
- Spot weld work pieces.
Qualification and Skills:
- Ability to work independently.
- Structured training or relevant work experience.
- Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to perform basic math.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to reason and problem solves as it pertains to positon.
- Ability to learn and navigate manufacturing software.
