The Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District (District) is a regional government agency that provides water reclamation and flood management services for about 1.1 million people in 28 communities in the greater Milwaukee area. The District's mission protects public health and the environment through world-class, cost effective water resource management, leadership, and partnership. The District is seeking qualified candidates for the position of BIM Coordinator in the Technical Services Division. Reporting to the Virtual Design Supervisor, you will be responsible for District implementation of building information models (BIM), 3D computer aided drafting (CAD) technologies, virtual designs, and drawings. You will coordinate the BIM workflows, model creation and data conversion, clash detection, and documentation.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Create, convert, and manage LiDAR point clouds, 3D models, and virtual design content for the District Water Reclamation Facilities BIM project.Create discipline specific 3D modeling templates and content. Prepare BIM Execution Plans as appropriate for District projects. Ensure file deliverables align with BIM Execution Plan and project specific workflow criteria.Create and maintain system integration links for BIM models.Enforce District BIM Standards and CAD Standards.Assist in maintaining project files in Autodesk BIM Collaborate platform.Audit and review 3D model deliverables to ensure they are compliant with District records management and IT governance policies.Assist in user training for Autodesk software and BIM-related tools and software.Develop accurate construction and record drawings and extract 2D and 3D data files for District projects.Prepare in-house Autodesk Revit models, drawings, plan sets, and figures to support District projects.Communicate effectively with District contractors and consultants on BIM, 3D modeling, and virtual design standards and best practices.Assist with model coordination, document workflows, digital processes, and BIM protocols.Complete special projects as assigned.
