The Benefits Manager plans, develops, recommends, and implements the collective benefit programs, policies, and procedures to align with the company's goals and practices, ensure compliance with regulatory requirement
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Analyzes benefit plan coverage and recommends benefit policies and programs designed to attract and retain employees in accordance with social and industry trends.
2. Performs due diligence pertaining to health benefits and 401k for acquisitions for two company Divisions
3. Review monthly carrier billing for benefit plans timely and accurate.
4. Responsible for compliance with the Affordable Care Act for reviewing a weekly review of measurement periods, a yearly review of stability periods, and reports for 1094/1095 IRS submission.
5. Develops effective employee communications to improve understanding of benefit plans.
6. Complete quarterly benefits meetings for company divisions.
7. Oversee monthly review of Health Savings account and work closely with payroll for yearly review reported on the W2.
8. Responds to escalated benefits inquiries from managers and employees on plan provisions, benefits enrollments, status changes, and other general inquiries.
9. Work closely with Benefits TPA to manage claims and escalated benefit issues
10. Oversee all leave-of-absence requests and disability paperwork: medical, personal, and FMLA. Calculate disability payments and send to payroll team. Keep up to date with all changing legislation regarding leave of absence in multiple states.
11. Manage two 401k plans, respond to 401(k) inquiries from employees and the accounting department, and manage all approvals, plan changes, and contribution amounts.
12. Monthly review of hourly employees’ hours to determine eligibility for 401k plan.
13. Manages all 5500 401k and 5500 health audits for two company divisions.
14. Prepare, plan, and manage two open enrollment processes for Food and Beverage and Marina divisions and subsequential auditing.
15. Oversee file feeds, including cobra
16. Review medical support orders yearly and ensure appropriate paperwork is sent timely
17. Complete monthly benefit projects and other duties as assigned.

Pay: From $90,000.00 per year
