About the Position:
Pay Range: $18-$20/hr.
The Total Rewards Assistant will function as a partner to the Total Rewards Manager by assisting with the daily tasks of the Total Rewards programs including the health and welfare benefit plans, life insurance, 401k plan, employee recognition plan, compensation program, and any other employee benefit plans offered.
What You Will Do:
- Advises and informs employees of changes and developments related to benefits including eligibility, coverage, and provisions.
- Maintain employee benefit records. Process benefit claims, enrollments, and cancellations.
- Facilitates accurate and timely delivery of employer contributions and employee payroll deductions to carriers, plan administrators or other appropriate service providers.
- Assist employees with all leave of absence matters including but not limited to eligibility, tracking, return to work, unprotected leave of absence, and worker’s compensation leave.
- Generate or compile reports as needed.
- Assists the TR Manager with the annual compensation process including salary planning, merit budget, salary adjustments, internal equity reviews, and promotions.
- Respond to employee questions regarding Total Rewards programs and escalate to the TR Manager as needed.
- Assist the TR Manager with communications strategies and activities designed to educate and inform employees about total rewards.
- Process data in accordance with the company’s record retention policies and procedures and state and federal laws and regulations.
- Maintain confidentiality of work-related issues, records, and company information.
- Complete other related duties as assigned.
What You Will Bring
- High School Diploma or GED, two (2) years of experience in a Human Resources role. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or equivalent preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Extensive knowledge of office management systems and procedures.
- Ability to maintain confidential information.
- Ability to operate general office equipment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
- Experience with HRIS a plus!
