Position: Behavioral Health Tech

Location: Medical Lake, WA 99022

Duration: 13 weeks

Shift: Night 5x8-Hour (22:30 - 07:00)

Experience: 2 years of behavioral health experience working with psych patients, dementia, or Alzheimer patients. Ideally in a hospital setting, but will consider SNF/LTC if they have experience working with behavioral health.

Job Summary:

As a Behavioral Health Tech, you will play a crucial role in providing care and support to patients with behavioral health needs. Your experience working with psych patients, dementia, or Alzheimer patients will be valuable in assisting individuals with their mental and emotional well-being. This position is located in Medical Lake, WA, and the duration of the assignment is 13 weeks. The night shift schedule will be 5 nights a week, with each shift lasting 8 hours from 22:30 to 07:00.

Responsibilities:

Provide direct care and support to patients with behavioral health conditions.

Assist with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, grooming, and feeding.

Observe and document patient behavior, progress, and any changes in condition.

Monitor patients for safety and ensure a therapeutic environment.

Implement and follow care plans, treatment goals, and interventions.

Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.

Provide emotional support and encouragement to patients and their families.

Assist in crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques.

Participate in therapeutic activities and group sessions with patients.

Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to all applicable ethical and legal standards.

Requirements:

Minimum of 2 years of behavioral health experience working with psych patients, dementia, or Alzheimer patients.

Experience in a hospital setting is preferred, but experience in a skilled nursing facility (SNF) or long-term care (LTC) facility with behavioral health experience will also be considered.

Knowledge of mental health disorders, treatment modalities, and interventions.

Understanding of behavioral management techniques and de-escalation strategies.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.

Strong observation and documentation skills.

CPR certification (current).

Job Type: Contract

Salary: $35.00 - $42.00 per hour
