POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for coffee service and food items at THE COFFEE BEAN AND TEA LEAF coffee shop located in The Market Basket inside The Pentagon.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Reports to work areas on time and in proper uniform
2. Sets-up, organizes, coffee shop
3. Responsible for maintaining a clean work environment.
4. Must be flexible to assist in other F&B areas if time allows
5. Knowledge of all menu items
6. Displays functional knowledge of POS system
7. Provides outstanding customer service through ensuring guest’s needs are met in a personal, efficient and effective manner
8. Maintain daily inventory for coffee items and par system
9. Participates in proper sanitation and food handling procedures
10. Maintains full knowledge of service standards
11. Performs as food runner and all other duties as necessary
12. Reviews daily activities with manager
13. Counts drawer at beginning and closing of shift
14. Completes count sheet
15. Knowledge of all menu items on buffets
16. Converses with guests and answers questions regarding all items
17. Participates in proper sanitation and food handling procedures
18. Maintains full knowledge of service standards
19. Performs additional duties both inter and intradepartmental

STATUS & SCOPE:
This position reports to management. Requires full understanding and knowledge of food and beverage standards, ability to comprehend and communicate in fluent English, outgoing personality, able to move quickly while carrying hot and cold beverages to and from the service areas and kitchen.

QUALIFICATIONS:
At least one-year experience as a Barista and/or Cashier, or as a food server, buffet attendant or related position within a restaurant, hotel or conference center operation is preferred but not required. Any related, customer service/oriented experience will be considered.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
